Mettler Auto*Wave 695 ~ Radial Pressure Pulse Therapy
*This item must be ordered by a licensed healthcare professional.
Radial Pressure Pulse Therapy is also known as Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Therapy. The Auto*Wave 695 uses a compressed air ballistic pulse energy generator that transfers pulse energy to the transmitter in the hand piece. It produces kinetic energy that is converted into pulse energy when the bullet strikes the surface of the transmitter. The acoustic pulse energy is transformed into impact energy from the contact area into the therapeutic target tissue radially. The high energy acoustic waves trigger the body’s healing response, reduce pain and help increase circulation.
The Auto*Wave 695 offers the following features:
- Silent built-in compressor
- 7-color touch screen display
- Ergonomic applicator
- Built in treatment protocols with images
- Multiple language capability
- Applicator is easily repairable and easy to clean on site
- Comes standard with a 15 mm and a 20 mm applicator cap (radial transmitters).
Indications for use include:
- Helps relieve minor muscle aches and pains
- Temporarily increases local blood circulation
The Auto*wave 695 is used in:
- Orthopedics
- Physical Therapy
- Podiatry
- Chiropractic
- Sports Medicine
The ergonomic hand piece reduces stress to the clinician’s hands and arms. Short treatment times further reduce clinician fatigue. Each unit comes with a reversion kit for in the clinic replacement of ballistic parts inside the hand piece.

Specifications
The Auto*wave 695 is a Radial Pressure Pulsed Therapy device that fires a ballistic projectile inside the applicator handle. When the projectile hits with the inside of the applicator tip it sends high energy acoustic waves into the local muscle and tissue. The high energy acoustic waves reduce pain, trigger the body’s healing response and increase circulation.
The Auto*wave 695 uses a silent internal air compressor to fire the ballistic bullet. This method of energy production allows for smooth action and a long lifespan for the transmitter.
Each unit offers a color Touch Screen interface, built in user protocols with treatment images, memory for user-defined protocols and multiple languages. A free reversion (repair) kit is included for onsite maintenance, repair and replacement of components. This allows for quick repair and reduced clinical down time. Additional reversion kits are sold separately.

Why Add Radial Pressure Wave Therapy to Your Chiropractic Clinic?
The Mettler Auto*Wave 695 Radial Pressure Pulse Therapy System gives chiropractors another non-invasive treatment option for patients dealing with sore, tight and painful muscles. Sometimes referred to as radial pressure wave therapy, radial shockwave therapy, RPW therapy or EPAT (Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Therapy), this technology delivers high-energy acoustic pressure pulses into targeted soft tissue.
In simple terms, the Auto*Wave 695 allows the chiropractor to target a specific area of muscle or soft tissue with rapid pressure pulses. These pulses help relieve minor muscle aches and pains while temporarily increasing local blood circulation. For a chiropractic practice, that makes radial pressure pulse therapy a useful complement to adjustments, soft tissue work, rehabilitation and other therapies already being performed in the clinic.
Why Chiropractors May Want the Auto*Wave 695
Add another tool for difficult soft tissue complaints.
Chiropractors frequently see patients with tight, sore or overworked muscles and localized areas of soft tissue discomfort. Radial pressure pulse therapy gives the doctor another way to address these areas as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
Complement chiropractic adjustments and rehabilitation.
Not every patient complaint is addressed by an adjustment alone. The Auto*Wave 695 can be incorporated into a chiropractic treatment plan alongside adjustments, stretching, exercise, rehabilitation and other soft tissue therapies.
Help increase circulation to the treatment area.
The acoustic pressure pulses produced by the Auto*Wave 695 temporarily increase local blood circulation, making it an attractive modality for chiropractors who regularly treat active patients and musculoskeletal complaints.
Expand the services your practice can offer.
Adding radial pressure wave therapy to a chiropractic office can help differentiate your clinic while giving existing patients access to another professional therapeutic modality without having to seek treatment elsewhere.
Fast, convenient treatments for a busy practice.
The Auto*Wave 695 was designed for clinical use. Its ergonomic applicator helps reduce stress on the clinician's hands and arms, while the color touchscreen and built-in treatment protocols make the system straightforward to incorporate into an established chiropractic workflow.
Designed to minimize downtime.
The applicator can be serviced in the clinic, and the system includes a reversion kit for replacement of internal ballistic components. That means routine applicator maintenance can be performed without automatically having to send the handpiece away for service.
Common Applications for Radial Pressure Pulse Therapy
Radial pressure pulse therapy is used by chiropractors, physical therapists, sports medicine professionals, podiatrists and orthopedic providers. Depending on the patient's condition and the clinician's professional judgment, radial pressure pulse technology may be considered when treating areas associated with:
- Myofascial trigger points
- Tight or painful muscles
- Plantar fascia and heel complaints
- Achilles tendon complaints
- Elbow and forearm tendon complaints
- Shoulder and rotator cuff-related soft tissue complaints
- Knee and surrounding soft tissue complaints
- Iliotibial band and lateral hip complaints
- Sports and overuse-related soft tissue problems
What Does Radial Pressure Wave Therapy Feel Like?
During treatment, the chiropractor places the Auto*Wave applicator against the skin over the targeted area. The applicator delivers a rapid series of pressure pulses into the underlying tissue. Treatment intensity can be adjusted according to the treatment area, patient tolerance and clinical objectives.
Unlike a surgical procedure, radial pressure pulse therapy is non-invasive. Treatments can also be performed directly in the chiropractic office, making the Auto*Wave 695 a practical addition for clinics looking to expand their soft tissue and musculoskeletal treatment capabilities.
Why Choose the Mettler Auto*Wave 695?
The Mettler Auto*Wave 695 combines professional radial pressure pulse technology with features designed specifically for clinical use, including a silent built-in compressor, ergonomic handpiece, color touchscreen, built-in treatment protocols with images and multiple transmitter options.
For chiropractors looking to add radial pressure wave therapy, pressure pulse therapy or EPAT technology to their practice, the Auto*Wave 695 provides a versatile system from Mettler Electronics designed for the demands of a busy healthcare environment.
